Dr. Junichi Usuba / 薄葉くんが博士号を取得しました
薄葉純一さん (特定研究員) が名古屋大学にて博士 (理学) を授与されました。
薄葉博士は，まだ深澤グループが名古屋大学・山口研究室の一部だった 2016年4月に，M1学生としてグループに加わり，名大での3年間を経て，深澤の京大への異動に伴い 2019年度から京大深澤グループへ合流しました。博士論文では，2017年頃から一貫して取り組んできた「チオフェン縮環により安定化された反芳香族化合物に関する研究」に関する成果をまとめました。
2/21 (月) に行われた学位論文公聴会では，これまでの研究の集大成にふさわしい見事な発表を行いました。薄葉くん，おめでとう！ますますのご活躍を！！
Junichi Usuba (Research Fellow) was awarded a Doctor of Science from Nagoya University!
Junichi joined our group as a master’s course student in April 2016, when the Fukazawa Group was a part of the Yamaguchi Laboratory at Nagoya University. After three years at Nagoya University, he joined the Fukazawa Group at Kyoto University in 2019 following Fukazawa’s appointment to Kyoto University. In his Ph.D. thesis, he summarized the results related to his studies on the antiaromatic compounds stabilized by the annulation of thiophene rings, which he has been consistently working on since around 2017.
At the dissertation defense held on February 21, he gave an excellent presentation that was a perfect culmination of his research to date. Congratulations, Junichi! We wish you further success in the future!
