Dr. Masahiro Hayakawa / 早川くんが博士号を取得しました
早川雅大さん (OB・現 京都大学大学院理学研究科 畠山研究室) が名古屋大学にて博士 (理学) を授与されました。
早川博士は，まだ深澤が名古屋大学・山口研究室の准教授だった2016年4月に学部4回生としてグループに加わり，その後，京大への異動を経て 2022年3月まで一緒に研究してきました。博士論文では，京都へ移ってから新たにスタートした新たな交差共役系炭化水素の化学に関する研究と，名古屋大学時代から行っていたユニークな溶解補助基に関する研究の成果をまとめました。
学位論文審査会は，5/6 (金) に名古屋大学で行われました。2年ぶりの対面発表はかなり緊張したようですが，堂々と見事な発表でした。5月下旬に，早川くんの博士取得をメンバー一同でお祝いしました。早川くん，おめでとう！新天地でのますますのご活躍を！！
Masahiro Hayakawa (alumnus, currently in Hatakeyama Group, Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University) was awarded a Doctor of Science from Nagoya University.
Dr. Hayakawa joined our group as a fourth-year undergraduate student in April 2016, when Fukazawa was an Associate Professor in Yamaguch Group at Nagoya University, and worked with us until March 2022. In his Ph.D. thesis, he summarized the studies on the chemistry of novel cross-conjugated hydrocarbons, which he started after moving to Kyoto University, and on sulfur-containing solubilizing groups, which he had been working on since his time at Nagoya University.
The dissertation defense was held on May 6 at Nagoya University, and although he was a bit nervous about his first face-to-face presentation in these two years since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, he gave a magnificent talk. Congratulations, Dr. Hayakawa! We wish you all the best in your new position!
