修士1回生の Helena Wen さん，学部4回生の北爪来海さん，下ノ原 優斗さんが新たに加わり，当グループの2024年度が始まりました。Helena さんは2022年度に Amgen Scholars Program で当研究室に2ヶ月滞在し，オーストラリアで Honors Degree を取得した後，大学院生として当研究室に戻ってきてくれました！
新メンバーとの交流を深めるために，新年度恒例となりつつある大文字山（如意ヶ嶽）登山を行いました。今回はスペシャルゲストとして，現在客員教授として京都大学に滞在中の Graham Bodwell 先生夫妻にもご参加いただきました。好天に恵まれ，よいスタートとなりました。
Our team started the academic year 2024 with the addition of three new members, Helena Wen (master course graduate student), Kurumi Kitazume and Yuto Shimonohara (4th year of undergraduate students). Helena has returned to our laboratory as a graduate student after having spent two months in our laboratory under the Amgen Scholars Program in 2022 and obtained an Honors Degree in Australia. Welcome back, Helena! It means a lot to us! And, last but not least, welcome Kurumi and Yuto to our team!
In order to deepen exchanges with the new members, we held the annual mountaineering trip to Mt. Daimonji (i.e. Mt. Nyoigatake). This time, we were joined by special guests, Professor Graham Bodwell, who is currently staying at Kyoto University as a visiting professor, and his wife. Blessed with fine weather, the event got off to a good start.
