Seminar: Prof. Henrik Ottosson

Ottosson 先生は，励起状態における芳香族性・反芳香族性について計算化学の立場から活発に研究を展開されているほか，芳香族性・反芳香族性に関わる研究コミュニティの形成や定義の再検討で主導的な役割を果たしておられる先生です。今回のご講演では，励起状態芳香族性・反芳香族性の基礎から最新の研究にわたるまで，わかりやすくお話いただきました。またOttosson 先生，お立ち寄りありがとうございました！
On October 1st, 2025, we co-hosted Professor Henrik Ottosson from Uppsala University, Sweden, for a lecture at the Institute for Chemical Research on KU Uji Campus.
Professor Ottosson is a leading figure in the field of aromaticity and antiaromaticity in excited states, particularly from the perspective of computational chemistry. He plays a central role in shaping the research community and leading the discussions on redefining these fundamental concepts. In his lecture, he provided a very clear and insightful overview, ranging from the basics of excited-state aromaticity to his most recent research findings. It was a fantastic opportunity for all of us to learn from his expertise. Henrik, thank you so much for visiting us. We truly enjoyed having you here!
