Our paper on nickel complexes of antiaromatic compounds, which we posted on ChemRxiv last year, has been accepted by the Journal of the American Chemical Society and is now available online. Starting with a complex unexpectedly discovered by Takefumi, Riina reinterpreted its position and significantly advanced the research. For the analysis of metal-ligand interactions using X-ray absorption spectroscopy and quantum chemical calculations, we collaborated with Professor Yuta Uetake (U of Osaka and Kyushu U), and for the overall theoretical interpretation, we collaborated with the group of Professor Judy Wu (U of Houston).
Please check it out – it’s open access.
