米国オレゴン大学 Michael Haley 教授をお迎えし，講演会を開催しました。
Haley 教授は，天然には存在しない π 電子系の設計，合成や機能開拓において世界をリードする研究者であり，2021年には ACS の George A. Olah Award in Hydrocarbon or Petroleum Chemistry を受賞されるなど，顕著な業績を挙げておられます。講演会では，インデノフルオレンを中心とする開殻一重項 π 共役炭化水素の設計，合成から有機半導体への応用まで，最新の成果を織り交ぜてお話しいただきました。
また，講演会の前には，研究室メンバーとのディスカッションにも快く応じてくださり，最新の研究結果について意見を交換することができました。また，大学院生やスタッフ一同を大いに励ましてくださいました。Haley 先生，本当にありがとうございました！またお会いできる日を心から楽しみにしています。
We were pleased to host Professor Michael M. Haley (University of Oregon, USA) to give a lecture.
Prof. Haley is a world-leading researcher in the design, synthesis, and application of π-electron rich systems, and is a recipient of the ACS George A. Olah Award in Hydrocarbon or Petroleum Chemistry in 2021. In his lecture, he presented their synthetic, structural, computational and materials studies of a class of carbon-rich semiconducting molecules based on the indenofluorene skeleton.
Before the lecture, he kindly agreed to have a discussion with our group members, and we were able to exchange views on the latest research results. He also greatly encouraged all of us. Thank you very much, Mike! We sincerely look forward to seeing you again.
