Farewell party for Shota and Akihiro / 長谷川特定助教と後藤君の送別会を催しました
長谷川翔大博士 (特定助教)，後藤章浩くん (M2) が 2024年3月末で当研究室から巣立ちました。
後藤くんは 2021年4月に，学部4回生次に当グループに参画し，この3月に無事修士課程を修了しました。この間，一貫して新たな反芳香族化合物の研究テーマに取り組み，一筋縄ではいかない難しい合成研究に地道に取り組んできました。また，柔和で思いやりとユーモアあふれる後藤くんは，相手が誰であろうと常に積極的にコミュニケーションを図り，影に日向にグループを盛り上げてくれました。4月からは企業へ就職し，新たなチャレンジを切ります。
長谷川さんは，ドイツで博士号を取得したのち，2023年4月に当グループに特定助教として着任されました。有機合成化学，構造有機化学，超分子化学，そして錯体化学と多岐にわたる分野の専門知識と，国際的な研究経験を活かし，グループ全体の研究を大いに活性化してくださいました。こうした研究経験を最大限に活かしつつ新境地を開拓するべく様々なチャレンジを行い，幾つもの重要な知見を得ることに成功しました (投稿準備中)。とにかく人との信頼関係を大切にし，皆から慕われ頼りにされていた長谷川さんは，4月から大きく環境を変え，企業にて新たなキャリアをスタートされます。
3月26日に，2人に最後のプレゼンを行ってもらったあと，送別会を行いました。2人とも当グループに欠かすことのできない存在でした。2人がいなくなるのは本当にさみしいですが，それぞれの道で活躍されることを心より願っています。
At the end of March 2024, Dr. Shota Hasegawa (Program-Specific Assistant Professor) and Mr. Akihiro Goto (Master Student) left our team.
Akihiro joined the team in April 2021 as a fourth-year undergraduate student and sucessfully completed his bachelor’s and master’s degree in March 2022 and March 2024, respectively. During this time, he has consistently worked on the research project on the development of novel antiaromatic compounds, and has been steadily tackling challenging synthetic chemistry. In April, he will start workin for a company and take on a new challenge.
Shota joined our team in April 2023 as a Program-Specific Assistant Professor after obtaining his Ph.D. in Germany. His expertise in a wide range of discipline, including synthetic organic chemistry, physical organic chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, and coordination chemistry, as well as his international research experience, have greatly stimulated the research of the entire group. He has taken on various challenges to break new ground, and have succeeded in gaining several important findings (to be appeared shortly). Shota, who valued trusting relationships with people and was loved and depended on by everyone, will make a big change in his environment and start a new career at a company from April.
On March 26, after final presentations by them, we held a farell party for Shota and Akihiro, both of whom were indispensable to our team. They will be missed. We wholeheartedly wish them success in their endeavors!
